Expected Outcome:Projects are expected to contribute to several of the following expected outcomes:Increased performance, scientific capacity and excellence of the European landscape of research infrastructures enhancing problem-solving capacities of the ERA to address challenges in science, industry and society;Legal, financial and technical issues addressed, leading to long-term perspective for research infrastructure investments and the establishment of a new research infrastructure and ensuring commitment of Member States/Associated Countries to their long-term operation and use;Solid ground for the decision making on new research infrastructures (or major upgrades), is available to Member States/Associated Countries, their funding bodies and other relevant stakeholders (e.g. international organisations, third countries, foundations);Structuring effect on the ERA through a consistent and well-functioning European research infrastructures ecosystem through the development of synergies and complementarities between new and existing research infrastructures, and with other infrastructures such as technology infrastructures and infrastructures financed by ERDF or the Digital Europe Programme. Scope:This topic supports the preparatory phase of new ESFRI research infrastructure projects identified in the 2026 update of the ESFRI Roadmap.
