This call addresses the funding gap for solutions that need to run clinical studies and collect evidence to demonstrate safety and efficacy, apply for regulatory approval and prepare for commercialisation. Consortia must comprise at least two organisations from different countries, representing at least two sides of the Knowledge Triangle (industry, research, education).

Consortia must comprise at least two organisations from different countries, representing at least two sides of the Knowledge Triangle (industry, research, education). A commercialising company must lead the project. Eligible solutions must be digital or AI-enabled medical devices (MDR/IVDR) at Innovation Maturity Level 6 (IML 6), aiming to reach IML 7 by project end. Please refer to EIT Health’s Healthcare Innovation Cycle Framework for more information on the required Innovation Maturity Level for this call. Funding EIT Health will fund up to 50% of the total project budget, up to €850,000 per project. The commercialising entity must sign a Financial Sustainability Contribution Agreement and, if it is a micro or small enterprise, must receive €400,000–€500,000 of the grant.
